2. تقلل الكوليسترول
   الكالسيوم والألياف في القرفة يمكن أن تساعد في القضاء على أملاح الصفراء من الجسم. عندما يتم التخلص من الأملاح الصفراوية، يحس الجسم على تكسير الكوليسترول لإنتاج الأملاح الصفراوية الجديدة، هذه العملية يمكن أن تساعد على خفض مستويات الكوليسترول العالية.

   ونظرا لخصائصها المضادة للالتهابات، تساعد القرفة في تخفيف آلام التهاب المفاصل وتصلب العضلات والمفاصل. في دراسة أجريت في جامعة كوبنهاغن، والمرضى الذين أعطوا نصف ملعقة صغيرة من مسحوق القرفة مع ملعقة من العسل كل صباح قبل الإفطار كان مصدر ارتياح كبير في آلام التهاب المفاصل بعد أسبوع واحد، ويستطيع المشي بدون ألم في غضون شهر واحد.
   مضادة للفطريات والبكتيريا

   تفيد القرفة شربا في علاج فطريات الكنديدا البيضاء، وهي فطريات تستفحل في الأمعاء وتنتشر في الجسم كله.
   علاج مشاكل الجهاز التنفسي
   القرفة تعالج نزلات البرد المعتادة أو الشديدة، كما وجدت القرفة لعلاج الانفلونزا، والتهاب الحلق واحتقانه.
   مساعدة في الهضم
